Role: Outpatient Certified Medical Assistant providing clinical and administrative support in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities: Deliver direct patient care, prepare patients, perform technical duties such as EKGs and wound dressings, collect specimens, and assist during minor procedures. Support provider documentation, facilitate patient flow, schedule appointments, and handle billing inquiries. Reinforce patient education and ensure safety and infection control protocols. Assist with inventory and prepare exam rooms between patients. Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from an approved governing body; preferred graduation from a 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma program. Proficiency in clinical procedures, strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work as part of a team are essential.
