Job Summary
Provides patient care in collaboration with physicians, demonstrating autonomy in evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up. Orders and interprets tests, prescribes medications, and manages patient care within the scope of practice. Works with nursing and staff to perform triage, patient education, and communication via various channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients, establish diagnoses, and implement treatment plans.
- Accurately document in electronic medical records, order tests, and prescribe evidence-based therapies.
- Adjust or discontinue medications as appropriate and report significant findings to the collaborating physician.
- Perform procedures within the scope of practice and communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff.
- Provide health education, advocate for patients, and ensure safe, ethical care.
- Adhere to policies, guidelines, and meet organizational goals and deadlines.
Work is performed mainly in a clinical setting, requiring compliance with organizational policies. A Master’s Degree as a Physician Assistant is preferred.
