Role Overview:
Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, ensuring aseptic techniques, proper equipment setup, and accurate specimen handling.
Coordinate treatments, provide basic patient assistance, connect patients to clinical equipment, and participate in surgical briefings and safety protocols.
Maintain accurate supply counts, verify surgical sites, and assist with wound care and dressing changes.
Perform additional duties such as specimen collection, patient transport, and supporting emergency procedures.
Act as a preceptor for students and adhere to all policies and standards of care.
Qualifications & Skills:
Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or eligible under relevant state law.
Graduate of a Specialty Training Program.
Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical procedures, and safety protocols.
Effective communication, teamwork, and attention to detail required.
