MRI Technologist – Weekender Rotation

Role Overview: Performs MRI imaging procedures at a technical level, ensuring patient safety and accuracy in image acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, position, and explain MRI procedures to patients, addressing questions and ensuring comfort.
  • Perform MRI scans of neuro, body, and extremity regions following radiologist protocols.
  • Administer IV contrast and perform venous access as directed.
  • Enter data into radiology systems and process images; identify anatomical structures.
  • Conduct equipment quality control and report malfunctions.
  • Assist with supply management and act as a radiology liaison supporting physicians.
  • Handle non-controlled medications during imaging procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT, or equivalent required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology training program.
  • Knowledge of MRI safety, imaging protocols, and equipment operation.
  • Strong communication, technical, and patient care skills.
