Role Overview: Provides anesthesia care in the operating room to support surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under supervision. Acts as a patient advocate and liaison among patients, families, and physicians.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administers anesthesia, selects drugs, and monitors patient response.
- Performs preoperative evaluation and postoperative follow-up.
- Communicates patient status with surgical team and interprets hemodynamic data.
- Adjusts medications to maintain patient stability throughout perioperative phases.
- Ensures safety by organizing OR equipment, troubleshooting, and responding to emergencies.
- Charts accurately in electronic medical records and transports patients safely.
- Serves as a mentor and resource to staff, residents, and students.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (required).
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to assess patient status, interpret equipment data, and respond to emergencies.
