Role Overview:
Responsible for coordinating patient care, personnel management, equipment maintenance, procurement, and data collection within an emergency department setting.
Provides leadership by hiring, training, assigning tasks, evaluating staff performance, and supporting professional development.
Participates in staffing, budget development, and ensuring departmental operational and productivity goals are met.
Oversees patient care delivery, ensuring interventions are tailored to patients’ age and developmental needs, and documents according to policy.
Develops collaborative care plans based on assessments and medical treatments.
Manages staff scheduling, payroll, performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and staffing needs.
Ensures compliance with policies and supports department efficiency and quality care.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing diploma or associate’s degree in nursing (RN license required)
- 2-5 years of nursing experience; supervisory experience preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing and 5-10 years of experience with less than 2 years supervisory experience are preferred
