Role Overview: The Assistant Manager of Safety leads safety professionals to innovate, design, and improve systems, processes, and tools to enhance safety in alignment with operations and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead safety themes and complex improvement projects.
- Manage daily safety team operations and mentor staff.
- Apply safety expertise to reduce hazards through continuous PDCA cycles.
- Interpret and implement safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments, ergonomic studies, and safety data analysis.
- Report safety activities, analyze trends, and develop professional skills.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field; 8+ years safety experience.
- Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, OSHA).
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and data analysis skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, root cause analysis, and business planning.
