Role: Implements physical therapy treatment programs under supervision, serving patients from neonatal to geriatric age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- Self-assess, seek ongoing education, and share knowledge with colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, patients, and families.
- Apply logical questioning, problem-solving, and data analysis to develop solutions.
- Support student training by completing assessments and promoting education.
- Foster teamwork, listen actively, and adapt to change.
- Assist in data collection, monitor patient progress, and ensure safety during therapy.
- Prepare documentation, support discharge planning, and educate patients on adaptive equipment.
- Participate in evidence-based practices and departmental activities.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited program.
- Preferred: One year of experience as a Physical Therapy Aide or Assistant.
- Licensure as a PTA with active, good standing license in the state.
- Current BLS certification (must obtain within 90 days if not already certified).
