Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments safely and accurately to residents, ensuring dignity and regulatory compliance. Key duties include following physician orders, adhering to the Six Rights of Medication Administration, documenting in MAR/TAR in real-time, observing residents during and after medication passes, monitoring symptoms, and reporting concerns promptly. The role involves maintaining organized medication carts, following infection control standards, and completing narcotic counts.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High School Diploma/GED and age 18+
• Medication Administration certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Preferred experience in senior care

This position plays a critical role in preventing medication errors, early detection of health changes, and safeguarding resident well-being through meticulous attention to detail and compliance with safety standards.
