Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology – Full Time

Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse is a vital member of an interdisciplinary team providing individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. They practice under the guidance of Nurse Managers and support systems rooted in evidence-based practice, the Wellstar Professional Practice Model, and shared governance. Their responsibilities include assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, emphasizing relationship-based, patient-centered approaches that respect cultural diversity. They collaborate effectively with team members, document care accurately, and promote a respectful, inclusive environment. The role involves participating in performance improvement, supporting research activities, and serving as a preceptor or mentor to foster professional growth. They ensure compliance with all policies, standards, and regulatory requirements, including legal and accreditation standards.

Qualifications & Skills: Candidates must have an active RN license (single or multi-state), BLS certification, and completion of an approved nursing program. Preferred candidates have less than one year of clinical experience and demonstrate strong clinical, communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills. The role requires a commitment to ongoing professional development and evidence-based practice.
