Role Overview:
The float Occupational Therapist plans and implements treatment programs across diverse patient populations, including neonatal to geriatric, following established occupational therapy practices.
Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, the therapist provides coverage in various settings such as acute/inpatient, outpatient orthopedics, and neurologic rehabilitation, adapting to different locations as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Doctorate (OTD) or Master’s (MOT) in Occupational Therapy; relevant education accepted for candidates prior to 2007.
- Preferred experience includes at least one year of clinical practice.
- Required certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire and a valid license from the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners.
Key Duties:
- Provide patient-centered occupational therapy assessments and treatments.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and modify care plans.
- Perform coverage across multiple clinical areas, ensuring seamless patient care.
