Role Overview:
The Occupational Therapist plans and implements treatment programs for patients across all age groups, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
Supervises positions including Occupational Therapy Assistants, aides, and students/observers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute individualized therapy plans based on accepted practices.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Supervise and mentor supporting staff and trainees.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Relevant occupational therapy licensure or certification.
- Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent mobility, and assisting patients.
- Physical ability to handle various activities, including making location and position changes.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to see with corrective eyewear and hear clearly with assistance.
- Willingness to handle emergency situations and wear protective equipment.
- Exposure to infectious diseases and chemicals may occur.
- Physical activities include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, and twisting.
- May require irregular hours and work in various environmental conditions.
