Radiology Technologist MRI – Evening Shift

Role Overview: MRI Technologists perform diagnostic imaging using magnetic resonance technology, ensuring accurate data acquisition for interpretation by licensed practitioners. They independently conduct or assist with MRI procedures, prepare and administer medications following regulations, and evaluate image quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for imaging exams.
  • Utilize appropriate protocols, optimize technical factors, and prioritize patient safety following ALARA principles.
  • Administer medications through vascular access as prescribed.
  • Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and verify data storage or transfer.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
  • Apply MRI safety principles to minimize risks and assist with interventional procedures.
  • Select suitable pulse sequences and participate in MRI safety and implant approval processes.
  • Qualifications & Skills:

    • Certification from ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMRIT required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
    • Completion of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
    • Knowledge of MRI safety protocols and technical procedures.
