Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Regional Float – Evening

Role Overview: Radiologic Technologists administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures to acquire diagnostic data for licensed practitioners.


Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring correct patient identification, proper preparation, and documenting clinical history with confidentiality.
  • Using appropriate imaging protocols, optimizing technical factors, and applying ALARA principles to ensure patient safety.
  • Preparing and/or administering medications via vascular access as prescribed.
  • Evaluating images for quality, proper positioning, and verifying data transfer or storage.
  • Educating and monitoring students and healthcare providers.
  • Assisting practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside of radiology settings.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduation from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registration within 6 months; applicants hired after a specified date must advance to level 2 within 24 months.
  • Knowledge of radiologic procedures, medication administration, and radiation safety.
  • Strong attention to detail, patient care, and collaboration skills.

Work Environment & Additional Details: Typically performed in a clinical setting, with compliance to policies and procedures. The role emphasizes safety, continuous learning, and teamwork in providing quality patient care.
