Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment in complex, critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities: Provides high-quality patient care, including ventilator management, airway procedures, arterial blood gas analysis, and therapy assessment. Collaborates with healthcare team members for care planning, educates patients and supports staff development. Ensures safety, documentation accuracy, and promotes evidence-based practices. Participates in invasive and non-invasive procedures and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires a minimum of an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy, with all relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, NBRC-RRT, RCP) upon hire. 0-2 years of clinical experience, including at least 6 months in critical care. Essential skills include strong communication, critical thinking, relationship building with healthcare professionals, and computer proficiency.
Additional Duties: Mentors new employees, supports a team-oriented environment, and adheres to policies and standards to ensure safe, quality patient care.
