Physical Therapist PRN Inpatient Rehab

Role Overview: The Physical Therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, increase strength, and prevent deformities in patients with disease or injury. Services are provided across the continuum, focusing on quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies.
  • Implement and adjust treatment activities, providing patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals.
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge plans per departmental guidelines.
  • Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and effective communication within the team.
  • Organize workload efficiently and ensure safe, cost-effective use of materials and equipment.
  • Promote excellent customer service, fostering teamwork, respect, and positive interactions with patients and staff.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, mandatory training, and orientation activities.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program with a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Current required licenses and certifications, including BLS or equivalent.
  • Effective communication skills, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer proficiency.
