MRI Technologist

Role Overview: The MRI Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, ensuring safe and high-quality patient care. They operate MRI equipment, position patients, and prepare them for exams while adhering to established protocols.


  • Responsibilities: Obtain patient history, assess contraindications, prepare and administer contrast media, and review images for clinical acceptability. Ensure patient safety, privacy, and comfort throughout procedures. Maintain equipment, follow infection control standards, and transmit studies to PACS. Assist with patient transport and support departmental operations.
  • Qualifications & Skills: Accredited education in Medical Technology; ARMRIT or ARRT MRI certification; BLS certification; minimum one year of MRI experience. Must possess excellent communication, customer service, and multitasking skills. Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, MRI safety, and equipment operation is essential. Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Key Duties: Set up imaging equipment, position patients, execute technical procedures, and evaluate image quality. Follow safety and procedural protocols, document accurately, and participate in departmental training. Maintain a clean, safe work environment and support team efforts.
