Role Overview:
Performs specialized technical duties in a surgical or procedural setting under supervision. Assists the surgical team with equipment and instrumentation to maintain a safe operating environment, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and functioning properly.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma required; preferred accredited Surgical Technician program certification.
- Experience: At least 1 year as a Surgical Tech, with preferred experience in surgical technology.
- Certification: Must hold certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting, the National Center for Competency Testing, or relevant military/public health programs. BLS certification required.
- Licenses: Valid surgical technology licensure if applicable.
Key Duties:
- Assist in preparing the operating room environment and equipment.
- Support the surgical team during procedures by handling instrumentation and supplies.
- Ensure safety and proper functioning of all surgical equipment.
Additional Requirements:
- Must obtain relevant certifications within ninety days of hire, only one certification is necessary.
- Must have basic life support certification.
