Job Summary
The Surgical Tech Student Intern is a temporary role allowing surgical tech students to gain hands-on experience in surgical settings. They work alongside a Certified Surgical Tech and may perform direct and indirect patient care under supervision from RNs and physicians.
Key Duties:
- Assist in surgical procedures and patient care activities
- Support surgical team with sterile techniques and equipment preparation
- Observe and learn surgical practices in a clinical environment
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Enrollment in an accredited Surgical Tech program
Requirements:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtained within 90 days of starting
