Role Overview: The registered nurse provides high-quality nursing care by collaborating with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient needs. They serve as the primary communicator between patients, families, providers, and staff, ensuring a positive and supportive environment. The nurse participates in performance improvement initiatives, maintains professional competence, and supports shared governance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor, examine, and evaluate patient conditions; assist in care planning and promote patient outcomes.
- Deliver care as per care plan, using independent judgment and collaborating with team members.
- Prioritize patient flow and experience, ensuring documentation of assessments, interventions, and incidents.
- Advocate for patients and families, addressing concerns, providing education, and fostering patient-centered care.
- Engage in performance improvement, contributing ideas and supporting organizational initiatives.
- Maintain licensure, certifications, and participate in professional growth activities.
- Mentor and support peer development, uphold confidentiality and safety standards, and promote professionalism.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Current RN license (single state or multi-state compact) and BLS certification upon hire.
- Experience in direct patient care preferred.
