Speech Pathologist

Role Overview: The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates and develops individualized treatment plans for patients with speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing issues. They collaborate with physicians, implement therapy, and provide patient and family education to promote recovery and discharge planning.


  • Conduct patient assessments and establish ongoing evaluation of treatment programs.
  • Implement and revise therapy plans, selecting appropriate activities to meet patient goals.
  • Provide education, discharge instructions, follow-up, and referrals to community resources.
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge plans adhering to departmental protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, ethical practices, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain effective communication, participate in meetings, and support team collaboration.
  • Engage in professional development, complete required competencies, and stay current with licensure.

  • Qualifications & Skills:
    • Graduate from an accredited speech-language pathology program.
    • Hold current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist and BLS certification.
    • Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
