Physical Therapy Assistant PRN

Role: The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) collaborates with physical therapists to plan and implement programs that improve patients’ mobility, strength, coordination, and range of motion. Services are provided across the continuum in a cost-effective, quality-focused, and patient-centered manner, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and adjust treatment plans under the physical therapist’s guidance.
  • Select appropriate activities to progress patient goals.
  • Educate patients and families, provide discharge instructions, and refer to community resources.
  • Document treatment sessions and complete required reports.
  • Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, participate in meetings, and support a positive environment.
  • Engage in professional development, training, and comply with mandatory education requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and adhere to organizational policies.

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Physical Therapy or related field.
  • Licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
