Job Summary
Performs phlebotomy tasks in a physician office setting, ensuring proper specimen collection and handling. The role requires adherence to medical procedures, accurate documentation, and maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities

Collects blood samples using established techniques.

Prepares specimens for laboratory analysis.

Ensures compliance with safety and infection control protocols.

Maintains accurate records of procedures and patient information.

Provides excellent patient care and addresses patient concerns.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required)
Knowledge of medical laboratory practices, procedures, and terminology (required)
Familiarity with lab manuals, formularies, ICD-10, and reference lab procedures (required)

Certifications/Licensure

Basic Life Support certification (required within 90 days of employment)
Preferred: Certification by ASCP or equivalent, and certified phlebotomy technician.
