Role Overview: The Respiratory Therapist II provides advanced respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment, primarily in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver patient-centered care through procedures such as ventilator management, airway management, arterial blood gas sampling, and therapy assessments. Collaborate with healthcare teams, educate patients and staff, and promote a safe, quality environment by adhering to policies and evidence-based practices. Support performance improvement initiatives and assist with invasive and diagnostic procedures as needed.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires a minimum of 0-2 years of clinical experience with at least 6 months in critical care. Must hold relevant licenses and certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and NBRC-RRT or RCP. Strong communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and computer skills are essential. A bachelor’s or associate degree in respiratory therapy is preferred.
