Role Overview: The Physical Therapist assesses, plans, and implements rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent deformities, ensuring quality care across the continuum while maintaining regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Assessment: Collaborate with physicians to develop and evaluate treatment plans, goals, and discharge strategies, involving patients and families.
- Treatment Planning & Care Delivery: Implement and adjust therapy plans, select appropriate activities, educate patients and families, and provide discharge instructions and referrals.
- Documentation: Record evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge summaries following departmental protocols.
- Professional Standards: Uphold ethical conduct, maintain confidentiality, adhere to policies, communicate effectively, and participate in meetings and training.
- Customer Service & Teamwork: Foster a positive environment, apply AIDET principles, and contribute to service excellence and team collaboration.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing education, complete required competencies, and assist in onboarding new staff.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate).
- Current Physical Therapist license and BLS certification; BLS Instructor and Provisional certifications preferred.
- Effective communication, customer service focus, teamwork, and basic computer skills.
