Role: Radiologic Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic, therapeutic, and research radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
Key Duties:
- Obtain correct orders, identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality.
- Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and ensure patient safety following ALARA principles.
- Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate images for quality and proper positioning.
- Verify data storage, assist with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, and document activities related to radiation exposure and medications.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist licensed practitioners in various radiologic procedures across different settings.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
- New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months; applicants hired after a specific date must complete steps for level 2 advancement within 24 months.
- Ability to perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures independently or assist licensed practitioners.
Work Environment & Expectations: Primarily in clinical settings, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures. Additional department-specific skills may be required.
