Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Regional Float – Days

Role Overview: Radiologic Technologists administer ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, performing a full range of radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. They independently conduct or assist with imaging procedures, ensuring proper patient identification, preparation, and safety protocols while optimizing technical factors and applying ALARA principles.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct orders, verify patient identity, and document clinical history with confidentiality.
  • Prepare and/or administer medications via vascular access sites as prescribed.
  • Evaluate image quality, verify data storage or transfer, and perform post-processing if needed.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers.
  • Assist licensed practitioners in fluoroscopic and specialized procedures, including outside the Radiology Department.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (preferred).
  • New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months.
  • Ability to perform diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures independently.
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety, patient care, and technical imaging principles.
