Role Overview

The Medication Aide/Med Tech is responsible for administering medications and treatments safely and accurately to residents, following physician orders and the Six Rights of Medication Administration. They document all actions in MAR/TAR in real time, monitor residents for symptoms, and report any concerns promptly. Ensuring medication safety, preventing errors, and maintaining regulatory compliance are key duties.

Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, medication administration certification, CPR and First Aid certifications, and strong documentation and communication skills. Prior experience in senior care is preferred.

The role involves maintaining clean medication carts, adhering to infection control standards, and observing residents during medication passes. The position emphasizes attention to detail, safety, and resident dignity.
