Pharmacist

Role Overview: The Pharmacist delivers pharmacy support and operations independently, managing scope, quality, and timelines with minimal guidance. They apply comprehensive knowledge of pharmacy operations across various tasks, ensuring effective communication with partners and maintaining workflow standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain valid prescription information from licensed veterinarians or agents before dispensing.
  • Initiate and receive calls and faxes for medication orders; clarify medication instructions as needed.
  • Dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions; prepare medications per professional standards.
  • Ensure proper labeling, timely delivery, and safe handling of medications.
  • Respond to inquiries from healthcare providers and end-users about medication usage.
  • Maintain detailed records of dispensed drugs and prescriptions; prepare required reports.
  • Store drug products under appropriate conditions and uphold high customer service standards.
  • Perform cross-training in pharmacy operations, including inventory management, prescription processing, and order control.
  • Support multi-state operations by maintaining active pharmacist licenses as required.
  • Assist with related duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution; active pharmacist license in the home state.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under volume constraints and resolve customer issues creatively.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical products, drug interactions, and pharmacy management software.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and leadership qualities.
