Registered Nurse – Interventional Radiology

Role Overview: Provides patient care in an Interventional Radiology department, supporting diagnosis and treatment. Works independently, educating and preparing patients for procedures, and assisting physicians with clinical tasks.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Triages patient calls and documents medical histories, vital signs, and examinations.
  • Oversees chart checks, ensures testing completion, and assists with procedures.
  • Collects specimens, prepares laboratory paperwork, and manages patient communication.
  • Administers medications, IVs, and monitors diagnostic equipment.
  • Maintains aseptic procedures, cleans, sterilizes instruments, and prepares procedure rooms.
  • Provides patient education on medications and treatments, promoting understanding and compliance.
  • Supports daily clinic activities and ensures a safe, efficient environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program (required).
  • Minimum one year of acute care RN experience; critical care preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred; required after hire.
  • Strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a team environment.
