Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Days

Role Summary: An X-ray Tech I performs standardized radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations, operating imaging equipment, and maintaining related records. Based on skills, qualifications, and experience, candidates may be considered for higher levels such as X-ray Tech II.


Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiological and fluoroscopic exams with proper patient positioning and techniques.
  • Operate all equipment within the modality proficiently.
  • Set up immobilization and radiation protective devices.
  • Assess patient body size, physical condition, and suspected pathology to guide examinations.
  • Assist physicians during procedures.
  • Report equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Participate in quality assurance and control procedures.
  • Contribute to the educational training of students.

Work is primarily performed in a clinical setting, with an emphasis on compliance with policies and procedures. Additional department-specific skills may be required.

Qualifications: Must have graduated from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology.
