Diagnostic Radiology Technologist – Evenings

Role Overview:
A Radiologic Technologist administers ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes, performing radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
They independently conduct imaging, prepare and document medication and radiation activities, and ensure patient safety while optimizing image quality.
The position involves evaluating images, assisting licensed practitioners, and monitoring students and healthcare providers.
Work is primarily in a clinical setting, adhering to all policies and legal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for exams.
  • Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, applying ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
  • Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed.
  • Evaluate image quality, verify data storage, and handle data post-processing.
  • Educate and monitor students and healthcare team members.
  • Assist with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures both in and outside the Radiology Department.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology (required); Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • New graduates must obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months.
  • Applicants hired after a specific date must meet criteria for advancement within 24 months.
