Role Overview
The Medication Aide/Med Tech ensures residents receive medications and treatments safely, accurately, and with dignity in a senior living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders, following the Six Rights of Medication Administration.
- Document medication administration accurately in MAR/TAR in real-time.
- Observe residents during and after medication passes, monitoring symptoms and administering medications as ordered for relief.
- Report refusals or concerns promptly and complete narcotic counts per policy.
- Maintain clean, organized medication carts and rooms, adhering to infection control and safety standards.
- Identify health changes early and prevent medication errors through attention to detail and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
- Medication Administration certification, CPR, and First Aid certifications.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Preferred: Senior care experience.
