Role Overview:
This position is for a Clinical Nurse specializing in GI/GU Surgery on a dedicated 38-bed surgical unit. The nurse will provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established standards. Responsibilities include educating patients and families on managing illness, promoting patient safety, and participating in professional development. The role involves developing and communicating individualized care plans, assessing physical and psychosocial needs, and supporting recovery using evidence-based practices like ERAS.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Minimum of a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Current RN license
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and 2+ years of experience
- Ability to work safely and collaboratively in a high-acuity environment
