Radiology Technologist – MRI (Part-Time, 3×12’s)

Role Overview:

Seeking a Charge MRI Technologist to perform advanced imaging procedures, primarily MRI, in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, independently conducting studies, troubleshooting, mentoring staff, and serving as a clinical resource. The technologist will oversee shift operations, coordinate workflow, and ensure quality control, while acting as a liaison between the team and supervision.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing patients and equipment for imaging procedures
  • Performing studies independently and in on-call situations
  • Managing shift operations, workflow, and prioritizing tasks
  • Mentoring staff and assisting with difficult exams
  • Serving as a clinical resource and problem solver
  • Ensuring proper communication and supplies management

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Associate degree or higher in a related field
  • 2-5 years of radiology experience, including MRI and operating room imaging
  • Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) or equivalent
  • Licenses such as IEMA (excluding MRI), ARRT, and other relevant certifications
  • Preferred experience of 5-10 years and CPR certification

Key Attributes: professional judgment, critical thinking, leadership, mentorship, and technical expertise with Siemens MRI machines. The position includes training, supervision, and operational responsibilities to support departmental needs.
