Role Overview:
Join a dynamic Ultrasound Team as a Sonographer, responsible for performing ultrasound imaging procedures including abdominal, small parts, obstetrical, and vascular scans for adult and pediatric patients. The role involves ensuring equipment readiness, conducting imaging studies independently, and documenting procedures accurately. May assist with needle procedures such as biopsies and drainages, and perform portable exams at various sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure proper function and readiness of ultrasound equipment
- Perform imaging examinations and document findings
- Operate independently, including on-call and portable exams
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate degree or equivalent from a trade school
- Certification as RDMS or equivalent
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience and additional certifications like RDCS or CPR
- Ability to perform general, diagnostic, and interventional ultrasound procedures
Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work 10-hour shifts four days a week, participate in call, weekend, and holiday rotations. The role emphasizes quality imaging, patient care, and adherence to safety standards.
