Role Overview:
This Clinical Nurse Operating Room provides direct patient care in an outpatient surgery setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing care standards. The role involves promoting patient-centered care, educating patients and families on post-treatment care, safety, and regulatory compliance. Nurses develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team and assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient values and cultural considerations. This position is safety-sensitive, requiring alertness and safe work practices.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver patient and family-centered care, including education on illness management and medication administration.
- Participate in safety, quality, and compliance activities, and engage in professional development.
- Develop, document, and communicate personalized care plans with clear goals, ensuring continuity of care.
- Assess patient needs holistically, respecting their preferences and barriers to involvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Educational requirements: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Licensure: RN license required.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary; 2 years of experience preferred for advanced roles.
