Role Overview: Responsible for performing and reporting a variety of laboratory analyses from multiple specimen sources to ensure high-quality patient care in a clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities: Conducts specimen handling, confirms identification, manages accessioning, recognizes and resolves discrepancies, maintains instruments, replenishes supplies, and follows reporting procedures. Supports training of new staff and participates in ongoing education to stay current in the field.
Qualifications & Skills: Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or an associate degree with certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Military experience in related roles is welcomed. Must successfully complete competency exams and demonstrate proficiency in laboratory procedures. Strong attention to detail, efficiency, and proficiency with computer applications are essential.
