Role: Radiologic Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic, therapeutic, and research radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, acquiring and analyzing data for diagnosis, and assisting licensed practitioners.
Key Duties:
- Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification and preparation, and document clinical history securely.
- Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to maximize patient safety and care.
- Prepare, administer, and document medications and radiation exposure activities in compliance with laws and policies.
- Evaluate images for quality, proper positioning, and ensure data is stored or transferred correctly.
- Educate and monitor students and healthcare providers, and assist practitioners with fluoroscopic and specialized procedures.
- Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures both within and outside the Radiology Department, including operating rooms, endoscopy, and ICU.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Radiologic Technology; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Obtain ARRT-R registry within 6 months; for new hires after a certain date, complete steps for level 2 advancement within 24 months.
- Ability to prepare, administer, and document medications and radiation activities accurately.
- Strong understanding of imaging protocols, patient safety, and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills for educating colleagues and students.
