Role Overview: The Cardiac Cath RN provides primary nursing support in the Cardiac Catheterization area, working closely with interventional Cardiologists and Electrophysiologists.
Responsibilities: Triage patient calls, obtain medical histories, assist with procedures, collect specimens, administer medications, monitor diagnostic equipment, and educate patients on treatment plans. The role involves inserting and managing IVs, preparing rooms and instruments, and ensuring proper communication and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills: Graduate from Specialty Training Program required. Experience in Telemetry, ED, or ICU preferred but not mandatory. Strong teamwork, attention to detail, and patient education skills are essential.
Additional Duties: Participate in On-Call rotations responding within 30 minutes for acute heart attack care, with responsibilities including rapid response and patient management.
