Role Overview: An experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner is sought to join the NICU team in a regional neonatology division. The role involves providing specialized care for critically ill and recovering term and preterm infants, working alongside neonatologists, residents, and nursing staff in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage NICU admissions, assessments, and ongoing care of high-risk infants, including those less than 35 weeks gestation.
- Perform procedures such as intubation, umbilical line placement, chest tubes, arterial puncture, arterial line placement, and ventilator management.
- Attend deliveries, especially high-risk cases, and manage delivery room procedures.
- Provide comprehensive history-taking and physical exams, with a focus on critically ill neonates.
- Participate in network NICU coverage, with flexible shift options (8, 16, or 24 hours).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification (required).
- Experience in neonatal intensive care and proficiency in critical procedures.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills in a multidisciplinary team environment.
