Role Overview: Performs or assists with cardiac, neuro, body, and vascular-interventional procedures, ensuring procedural accuracy, patient care, and safety. Responsible for preparing, administering medications, managing radiation exposure, and operating imaging equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts Interventional, Neuro, and Endovascular procedures, maintaining high imaging quality and collaborating with clinical teams.
- Assists with procedures such as embolizations, tumor treatments, intracranial and vascular stenting, and endovascular repairs.
- Prepares patients, administers contrast media, and provides patient education and emotional support.
- Operates and monitors imaging and radiation equipment, ensures safety protocols, and performs quality control tests.
- Maintains documentation, manages supplies, and adheres to regulatory and safety standards.
- Shares responsibility for equipment sterilization, cleanliness, and quality improvement activities.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Certification by ARRT-R with advanced certification in ARRT-VI, CI, or CV required for Interventional Radiology.
- For Cardiology: certification in cardiovascular technology or ARRT with RCIS certification, ACLS, and PALS (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of neuro, thoracic, abdominal, and peripheral vasculature; proficiency in digital imaging, radiation safety, and equipment maintenance.
- Excellent patient communication, teamwork, and attention to safety standards.
