Role Overview: The RN Clinical Nurse collaborates within an interdisciplinary team to deliver individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care in a clinical environment supported by evidence-based practices and organizational models. They uphold professional standards, practice ethically, and advocate for patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform nursing processes—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—using critical thinking and evidence-based practices.
- Provide culturally sensitive, relationship-based care tailored to patient populations.
- Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education, ensuring patient goals guide care plans.
- Coordinate safe, quality care through interdisciplinary communication, documentation, and fostering a respectful environment.
- Support performance improvement initiatives, research, and shared governance activities.
- Participate in professional development, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and promote evidence-based practice and research.
- Ensure compliance with policies, legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards, including patient safety goals.
- Proactively plan resource use and contribute to protocol development to improve outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
- Ability to respond effectively in fast-paced or emergency situations.
- Proficiency in technology, critical thinking, and time management.
- Licenses: RN (single state or multi-state compact), BLS, and BLS Instructor or Provisional certification.
