Role: Respiratory Therapist II responsible for delivering complex respiratory care, medication administration, and patient assessment primarily in critical care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patient-centered respiratory care, including ventilator management, airway procedures, and arterial blood gas sampling.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients, families, and support systems, and mentor new staff and students.
- Ensure patient safety through accurate documentation, adherence to protocols, and participation in quality improvement initiatives.
- Perform invasive and non-invasive procedures, and support pulmonary diagnostics as needed.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and promote evidence-based practices.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program with at least 20 science hours.
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Certifications: NBRC-RRT, RCP, BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (or provisional). All certifications required upon hire.
- 0-2 years clinical experience, with at least 6 months in critical care.
Skills: Excellent communication, critical thinking, relationship-building with healthcare professionals, and computer proficiency.
