Role Overview: The Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates and develops treatment plans for patients with speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing issues, collaborating with physicians. They provide services across various settings, focusing on quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
- Key Responsibilities: Conduct patient assessments, establish and update treatment plans, implement therapy activities, and revise goals with input from patients and families.
- Provide ongoing education, discharge instructions, and referrals to community resources.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge plans per departmental protocols.
- Ensure ethical practices, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to attendance, dress code, and infection prevention standards.
- Foster excellent customer service using AIDET principles, promoting teamwork and a positive environment.
- Participate in professional development, mandatory training, and orientation activities, maintaining licensure and certifications.
Qualifications & Skills: Must have a graduate degree from an accredited speech-language pathology program, hold licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist, and possess BLS certification.
