Role: Seeking a dedicated Acute Care Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide patient assessments, treatment planning, and rehabilitative services in a hospital setting. The OT will help patients improve activities of daily living, mobility, cognition, strength, and coordination, ensuring care is cost-effective, high-quality, and compliant with regulations.
- Key Responsibilities: Implement and adjust treatment plans, educate patients and families, document sessions and care plans, and coordinate discharge and community referrals.
- Patient Assessment & Care: Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, set realistic goals, and develop discharge plans aligned with patient needs.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of evaluations, treatment sessions, and family education, adhering to departmental standards.
- Professional Conduct: Uphold ethical practices, confidentiality, punctuality, effective communication, and participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
- Customer Service & Teamwork: Foster a positive environment, demonstrate respect, and apply service recovery principles to ensure excellent patient experiences.
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Occupational Therapy, valid OT license, BLS certification, effective communication skills, customer service orientation, team player, and basic computer skills.
This role involves providing care during weekends and holidays, with responsibilities focused on patient recovery, documentation, compliance, and collaborative team efforts to enhance patient independence and well-being.
