Role Overview:
Provides direct patient care in a 16-bed Medical, Med Surg/Ortho unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment needs, and medication administration. Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while actively participating in professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural factors.
- Supports a safe environment and promotes service excellence through communication and teamwork.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license required.
- Experience: No prior experience necessary; two years of experience and supervisor experience are preferred.
- Skills: Strong assessment, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to work safely and efficiently in a healthcare setting.
