Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care in a 16-bed Medical, Med Surg/Ortho unit, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within nursing standards. The nurse promotes patient and family-centered care, educates on illness management, and participates in activities ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include developing individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, and addressing physical, psychosocial, emotional, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients. The role emphasizes professional development and adherence to safety protocols.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
- Licenses & Certifications: Valid RN license.
- Experience: No prior experience required, but 2+ years of nursing experience is preferred.
- Skills: Critical thinking, effective communication, teamwork, and cultural competence.
