Position Overview: An Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a key leadership role responsible for supporting daily operations, clinical oversight, staff development, and maintaining high standards of patient care in a new multidisciplinary ICU. The ANM serves as a mentor and resource, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment with strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Participating in staffing, budgeting, and ensuring adherence to operational goals.
- Overseeing patient care plans, documenting interventions, and ensuring compliance with policies.
- Coordinating staffing needs, managing payroll, conducting performance reviews, and addressing disciplinary actions.
- Supporting departmental productivity and safety protocols, with a focus on staff and patient safety.
Qualifications:
- BSN required; MSN preferred.
- Valid RN license.
- 2-5 years of experience; leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
