Role Overview:
This position involves providing direct patient care on a medical-surgical unit, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation within established nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote patient- and family-centered care by educating patients on managing their illness, medication, and post-treatment needs.
- Participate in activities to ensure patient safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Develop, implement, and document individualized care plans, collaborating with the healthcare team, patient, and family.
- Use critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient values, cultural, and spiritual factors.
- Work in a safety-sensitive environment requiring constant alertness and safe practices.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Nursing diploma or associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- RN licensure required.
- Med Surg experience and BSN are preferred.
- Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively, and demonstrate strong communication skills.
